Terms and Conditions of Service

By booking an appointment or authorizing service with LumeX Lock & Auto, the customer agrees to the following terms and policies.

1. Scope of Mobile Services

LumeX Lock & Auto provides mobile automotive locksmithing, emergency roadside assistance, and exterior headlight restoration. We reserve the right to refuse service if conditions are deemed unsafe, if the vehicle cannot be legally verified, or if the requested work falls outside our professional scope.

2. Authorization & Proof of Ownership (Locksmith Services)

Due to the legal nature of lockouts and key generation, strict verification is required before any locksmith service begins.

• The customer must confirm their identity to the Locksmith via valid proof of identification.

   

• The customer must verify their right to enter the vehicle or property.

   

• The customer assures the Locksmith that they are acting lawfully by requesting entry, stating categorically that they are legally entitled and empowered to seek entry to the property or vehicle.

   

• The customer personally accepts full and total responsibility for any liability and damages arising as a result of their entry request.

3. Locksmith & Roadside Service Policies

• Method of Entry: We utilize professional, non-destructive entry methods whenever possible. In rare cases where non-destructive entry fails due to lock malfunction or prior damage, destructive methods (such as drilling) may be required. The customer will be informed before any destructive methods are used.

• Key Programming: We guarantee successful programming on keys and fobs supplied directly by LumeX Lock & Auto. We do not guarantee the successful programming of customer-supplied aftermarket keys or fobs, and the programming fee will apply regardless of the outcome.

• Existing Faults: We are not responsible for pre-existing electrical issues, faulty immobilizers, or damaged ignition cylinders that prevent successful key generation or programming.

4. Headlight Restoration Policies

Our service is a cosmetic exterior headlight restoration. We restore the outside surface of the lens only.Due to the nature of mobile services and variations in headlight condition, full restoration cannot be guaranteed in all cases.

• Exclusions: Our service does not include internal headlight cleaning, opening or disassembling headlights, or repairing electrical components, bulbs, wiring, or condensation issues.

• Pre-Existing Damage: We are not responsible for pre-existing cracks or fractures in the lens. We are not responsible for deep pitting or rock damage. We are not responsible for previous sanding or DIY restoration damage. We are not responsible for headlights that are severely degraded beyond safe restoration.

• Paint & Surface Disclaimer: We carefully tape off surrounding paint and trim before performing the service.However, some vehicles may have weak, chipped, repainted, or previously damaged clear coat. Tape adhesion can occasionally lift failing or compromised paint or clear coat. LumeX Lock & Auto is not responsible for paint or clear coat damage that occurs due to pre-existing paint conditions.

• Expectations: Results are not the same as brand-new replacement headlights. Some permanent wear may remain depending on lens condition.

   

5. Payment & Mobile Service Fees

• Payment Terms: Payment is due in full immediately upon completion of the requested service. We accept cash and major credit/debit cards.

• Mobile Call-Out Fee: A standard mobile service fee applies for arriving at your location. If a service cannot be completed due to customer misrepresentation (e.g., inability to provide proof of ownership), the call-out fee remains due.

• Cancellations: If you need to cancel, please do so before our technician is en route. Cancellations made after a technician has been dispatched may be subject to a cancellation fee.

6. Media & Documentation

We take before and after photos of every vehicle for quality control, documentation of pre-existing conditions, and marketing or social media use. License plates and identifying customer information will be obscured or kept confidential for marketing purposes.

7. Liability Waiver & Hold Harmless

By requesting service, the customer agrees to release and hold harmless LumeX Lock & Auto and all of its agents, representatives, sub-contractors, and employees from any liability arising from their performance of the requested services. The customer makes no claims against the Locksmith and leaves them free of and indemnified against any future claims without prejudice or reservation.
